【摘要】:ThisStandardspecifiestwoalternativeimageinterchangeformatsforbiometricauthenticationsystemsthatutilizeirisrecognition.Thefirstisbasedonarectilinearimagestorageformatthatmaybearaw,uncompressedarrayofintensityvaluesoracompressedformatsuchasthatspecifiedbytheJPEGstandard.Imagesmaybemonochromeorcolorwith256ormoreintensitylevels(greyorper-color),andvaryinsizedependingonfieldofviewandcompression.Typicalsizeis25&8211;30KbytesforJPEGformat.Thesecondformatisbasedonapolarimagespecificationthatrequirescertainpre-processingandimagesegmentationsteps.
