【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasuresthemolecularweightdistributionandmolecularweightaveragesofpolyethylene(exceptLDPE)andpolypropyleneresins.Differencesinmolecularweightandmolecularweightdistributionsignificantlyaffectphysicalproperties,suchasmorphology,strength,meltflowetc.,andasaresult,thefinalpropertiesofproductsmadefromtheseresins.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmolecularweightdistributionsandmolecularweightaveragesoflinearpolyolefinsbyhightemperaturegelpermeationchromatography(GPC).Thistestmethodusescommerciallyavailablepolystyrenestandardsandequipmentandisapplicabletopolyethylenes(excludinghighpressurelowdensitypolyethylene-LDPE)andpolypropylenessolublein1,2,4-trichlorobenzene(TCB)at140C.Thistestmethodisnotabsoluteandrequirescalibration.Note1Sizeexclusionchromatography(SEC)oftenisusedasanalternativenameforgelpermeationchromatography(GPC).Note2Specificmethodsandcapabilitiesofusersmayvarywithdifferencesincolumns,instrumentation,applicationssoftware,andpracticesbetweenlaboratories.Note3Onegeneralmethodisoutlinedherein;alternativeanalyticalpracticescanbefollowedandareattachedinnoteswhereappropriate.Note4ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunits,basedonIEEE/ASTMS1-10,aretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
